Restaurant Tin Joe!

As we continue on our reviews, here is one many of us have eaten at and have enjoyed for some time. Tin Joe is a couple of blocks from just about everything and diagonally across the street from Idem.

Upscale Asian fare with an upscale atmosphere and upscale price to go with it. American type dining with American type pricing. Place is large with a bar in the front, several dining rooms that can accommodate a large number of patrons at any one time. The place to be seen at lunch if you’re a Costa Rican business person, and I have always gone there at lunchtime.

Menu is extensive and will take some time to peruse. Everything from your standard Asian type dishes, to Indian style curry and American / Continental fare as well. Portions are not large, but the quality is fresh, tasty and presentation is excellent as well. Waiter service is top notch, for anywhere, but you are paying the price as they say you get what you pay for.

Can personally recommend some house specials, as the chicken curry and teriyaki were excellent on more than one occasion. Wife loves to try their fishes of the day, and you cannot go wrong with a COLD KIRIN.

All major credit cards accepted and I do not believe reservations are necessary, unless you have a large party.

Could not agree more. GF, me and another couple were there last Thursday night. Service, food were excellent. A little pricey but worth it. Seems to be the in spot for the upscale Tico family and local gringos. Best egg rolls anywhere!
