Mariscar:
50 feet to the left of the Presidente Hotel on Avenida Central.

A local spot I have been going to about a year now, though my wife will not eat there. If you are looking for a quick bite, lunch, etc, this is a good place. A bit on the seedy, dirty side and leave your high-end expectations at the door. In addition, open late at night for cerveza's and that last minute bite to eat prior to going face down in a pillow or between Ladies legs.

Menu is ½ Chinese which till this day I have never eaten there, good selection of cerviche and the house special is the chicken rotisserie. Plates are clean and all silverware is packaged up and put into plastic zip lock type bags and placed on your table.

House specials include the ¼ white or dark chicken or the ½ white or dark chicken. It is accompanied by your choice of white rice or pork fried rice, black beans and my mind is a blank, but you know the wraps used for fajitas.

Chicken is consistent and fresh, and they make a “HOT” homemade picante salsa that does have a bit of a kick. I have been there with out of town friends who have enjoyed the cerviche and the Chinese food, but personally have always stuck with the chicken.

Service is fast and the beers are cold. Cash only. The beggars and the K*ds hawking everything insight can be a bit of a bother, but as I said, it is usually guys only place so I deal with it. A definite must if you want to just eat some solid local food.

I have eaten there many times during my trips and the food is tastfully prepared though it lacks ambiance. In my travels I have always looked for little restaurants like this one.
Worth a stop....

It is one of favorites considering the price, convenience and quality of food.

I love their "camarones al ajillo".

Very delicious!

Because it was so close, and the smell coming from there was so good, I tried it on my last trip. Without going into great detail, as we already have a restaraunt review guy, I will say that it was well above my expectations. I ate there several times during my recent "month of shame" that I spent in the gulch. I swear that the chicken and the "Fruta" were instrumental in restoring my ability to produce mas leche for mi chicas.
5 star in my opinion and of course CHEAP
