For those of us who miss the occasional Corned Beef on Rye or Pastrami sandwich, there WAS a place in Pavas that was just perfect. Unfortunatly, it closed down about 3 months ago.
BUT, recently, my good amigo, ID found out that they would be re-opening May 1st.
With great anticipation, ID and I visited this establishment yesterday. It had been re-painted and they even had a new menu. Some of the same items were on the menu but we were astonished to see that thier prices had almost doubled!
They used to have a deal where you could order a combo that included the sandwich, a drink, a salad and a pickle for about 2100 colones. Now, everything is a la carte which brings this same meal to 4,000 colones!
So, if you have a hankering for a good Deli lunch, be sure to bring your wallet..
NY Deli is located on the main road into Pavas and is about 500 mtrs west of Cermaco just before the road intersects the Circumvencion.
