I am going from memory here but I believe it is located at the intersection of Calle 13 and Avenida 8. Of course if you tell a taxi driver those directions, he will look at you like you are from another planet, drive around for about 20 minutes, then ask someone how to get there. If I am going to get ripped off, at least they can make it less obvious.

Anyway, the name of the place is Mexicana Fresca or something like that. I appreciate good Mexican food and the people will go out of their way to make you happy. Actually, a few guys from Peru also work there and they also plan to feature Peruvian comida as well. Not a bad place if your Jones'n for comida Mexicana.

Had lunch there today, finally a good Mexican restuarant. Great food and service and the waiter speaks some english. Lunch special 1300 colones. Hours are 8 to 6 M-F, Sat. 9-5. Only a 5 minute walk from the Pres...... Thanks Buddha for the good find .

It's called Fiesta Mexicana. I like it too, although to me what they serve is more of a Tico-Mex than a real hearty Mexican...but that's a quibble.

It's small (six small tables) and fills up between 12:00 & 12:45 when the workers from the nearby government buildings have their lunch break.

The place directly across the street serves a good plate too.
