That is Costa Del Sol which is a favorite of many on this board. It has been mentioned a couple of times in this thread. They offer a 10% discount to CRT VIP members.

I'm a big fan of the anchovy, artichoke, and black olive pizza at Cafe Mundo, which costs around 4,500 colones, I believe. Echoing another post, ask for extra sauce and a well-done bake.

As long as you don't mind the small insect problem, it's ok to eat there.

---------------

I found an excellent pizza outside of San Jose. In Cahuita (near Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side), there is an Italian restaurant called Corleone's. The best pizza that I've had in CR. A pie of 8 small slices was like $5.

Be careful mentioning that on CRT. When someone posted a review of La Criollita and I made mention of the fact that when I was there I saw some mice munching on the bird food in the aviary I was chastised for being negative.

It's on Central Avenida. Walk one block down the hill from the Del Rey to Central Avenida. Turn left and walk about 50 yards and you'll be right there. Costa Del Sol is a couple of doors down from the Hamburgesa Factory.

Agree...and for about a buck and a half for a huge slice with some fruit type drink..yum yum. plus you get to watch the Chicas walk by

Give me a break Harlo. Every place I know uses mozzarella cheese, which is a white cheese, when making pizza.

Your post "It has white cheese instead of yellow" indicates that where you live yellow cheese is the norm.

With "all due respect and kindness" I am asking what kind of cheese is used where you live.

:D :D it's been months and we still haven't gotten to the bottom of this :!:   Harlo, can you please at least take a picture and post it :?: :?: can't be any worse than those pictures PacoLoco posted

Absolute best pizza in CR.Pannevino. No other comes close to the class and quality. There are several restaurants around San Jose. The owners of several of our favorite establishments are regular customers at the Pannevino in San Pedro.I always see somebody I know there.

IMO pannevino is one of the worst pizzas in CR. I think pricemarts is the best

Just goes to show why there will never be resolution to this question. Pan y Vino and Pricesmart serve totally different styles of Pizza. If you like one you are most likely not going to enjoy the other.
