Executive lunch deals are usually $6 and include meal, soup or salad, small desert, coffee and usually juice beverage with main course.

Executive lunch is served at the Dunn Inn, Hotel Europa, Holiday Inn aurora (upstairs) . At the colonial it doesn't include a beverage (extra) at the patio it isn't in print and you have to ask for it in Spanish.

DonCarlos: When you say the patio at Colonial, I assume you mean the street side tables next to the bar? And how do say you want the executive lunch in spanish if you would please?

It may have slipped your mind but 90+% of us are tourists; however al Muerza Ejecutivo is a good option and I've enjoyed the one at the Dunn Inn.

Maybe Cafe Mundo got hurt when the Health Department closed them for a while, maybe 18 months ago?

Should I say "Oops" or is it just not talked about/eaten in these days?

I used to love the food at Cafe Mundo, so much that I let them food poison me twice. After the second go around, I decided no more.

Apparently they really screwed up when they food poisoned several members of the Costa Rican legislature and high level judicial investigators. After that when the ministry of health investigated them, every detail made it into the newspaper, including photos of the kitchen.

You guys remember Earl Montoya, DR cabbie, now out on his own, good guy. I asked him to take me there once and he said "You don't want to go there". I think maybe he knew. I have heard that they are back and doing well.

Include Soda Peru with the Executive lunch. Everything included.

I don't know if they qualify as executives, but I see a lot of ticos in ties and fairly well dressed ticas there for lunch, many from the INS building nearby.

Get out of the gulch and try the Burro Loco on 4th and 4th. Good typical food with 4 tables on the front patio. Good cafe and they sell beer and whiskey too.

Great people watching.

Is this the place or is "Crazy Ass" just a popular name for restaurants? http://antojeriaelburroloco.com/index.html
BTW this venue has 2 locations.

Indeed they do my good man AND you hit the nail on the head. They have a location on fourth avenue and fourth street and they have a location on 2nd Ave.

My little Nica kept bringing me home to go food from "El Burro Loco" and I kept asking her why she was at the "Gringo Spot".

I found out they have, in fact, two locations.
