are things that bad that you need to ask about pizza prices??? :D

lorenzo

It's the principle of the thing. I don't like paying prices that are higher than in the U.S., I think that's just dumb. The Ticos who put up places like Papa Johns go into it figuring, "Yeah, those dumb gringos will pay anything for an American style pizza" (which of course is never as good as an American style pizza).

I don't come to San Jose for the food. If it's reasonably priced I'll eat it but I've yet to be in a restaurant here that is worth U.S. prices. (Okay, one or two, but not in San Jose.) And I'd rather spend the money on chicas and drinks. But mostly it's just the principle of not liking to be gouged.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am thinking of travelling for a couple/few months but think I will eventually return to Costa Rica.

I will need a place to store my furniture and car.

Obviously, I am a renter.

Any ideas?

Having just finished a medium para llevar pizza, the very best topping for a breakfast pizza, I am ready to tackle your question.

I will post a response in the appropriate thread so as not to hijack this one. Some watchdog might accuse me of violating the CRT State of the Union policy.

On second thought.....I do like the pizza at CAFE MUNDO as well. 8)

I agree with Zebra. I've ordered Cafe Mundo's pizza para llevar, and it was by far the best pizza I've had in CR (a short list, to be sure) and rivaled a lot of pies I've had in the US. :D

Ciaociao

What kind of price are we talking at Cafe Mundo, for a medium pizza?

I had a medium pizza at Papa John's in San Ramon the other day and it cost me $12! And, no, it was not very good.

Cafe Mundo hands down...order extra sauce and well done cant beat it anywhere. Also the deserts and other menu items are good as well. The sea bass is excellent. And cafe mundo is closer than many of others mentioned

Hi Sir , ID, If any way possible I would like to meet you at the Pizza Place and lets eat a slice or more and let the man who owns the place tell us how he does it. I will pay your cab to the place and back to your house as well as your tab at / for the meal . No charge for you only your time. .

Harlo either I have failed to communicate my question or you are misunderstanding the question. While I appreciate the offer it is not necessary since you have posted that Akropolis pizza makes their pizza with white cheese which is, in my experience, the norm.

My question is a very simple one. You are use to having pizza made with yellow cheese so all I have asked is what kind of cheese do they use? Now seeing that you are located in Panama City Beach, Fl. if you would like to expand that offer to a r/t air, hotel, miscellaneous expenses, etc. to try yellow cheese pizza I would be interested. Spring break time 2009 would fit my schedule perfectly.
:D ID you need to hook up with little harlo his allowance got raised :D you remember what it like to be 14 :D  maybe candle lit dinner for the second date :D

Florida, you really should take your meds on schedule. If you are doing that perhaps your Dr. might want to consider either changing them or increasing the dosage.

One of the early signs of mental illness is self delusion and being impressed with supposed self accomplishment.

Hopefully you will seek professional help undergo treatment and become a contributing member rather then continuing to drown in emoticon self pity.

Do us all a favor and seek therapy.

Speaking of pizza,

How is pizza like pu*sy ???

When it's good, it's really good.

And when it's bad, it's still pretty good....

Da Nuck

Ps, Even with white or yellow cheese...........

There is one a couple of blocks away from the Presidente/Balmoral section on the same side of the street as the Presidente. Very close to DelRay also.
I thought the pizza was US quality. Owned by some Italian guy. If you are walking from Presidente on the same side of the street, you will come across two pizza places a couple of spots from one another. I can't remember the name , but it is the second one.
