Wow! Your post is disgusting and incredibly out of proportion and this isn't the first time.

Edit:Looks like Adm 1 deleted the disgusting part by the above which I was referring to.Thank you. Merry Christmas to all.

Gentlemen:
I am not going to tolerate the little pot shots and innuendos. I really am not... One little remark makes the next guy fire back and so on...

I do not need this - If you can't simply make a post without having to include a pot shot at someone then I assure you, lifetime VIP's regular VIP's non Paid members I will remove you its that simple.

And THIS IS NOT A way to advertise the sale of your restaurant.

With that said its almost XMAS and I will be the Xmas Spirit tonight.

DO NOT TRY ME Tomorrow.

Merry XMAS to all and to all a good night.

I have often wondered who got the idea that being a paid member confers some type of elevated status. As far as I can tell, anyone who follows the rules is allowed to post in the main forums. Paying a membership fee means NOTHING except you get to look at dirty pictures and get hotel discounts :) :D

I'm sure the owners of this forum like you better if you pay, but they do not make it a requirement. I assume the owners, quite correctly, figure that high membership/readers makes for higher advertising rates.

I recently renewed my VIP status because I was going to make a visit and wanted the discounts, not so I get more cred on the forums. (p.s. I do like looking at the naked pictures  )

I am a VIP because I want to support a great board with an outstanding Administrator who takes a lot of time to keep things running.

He has a thankless job putting with juvenile nonsense posted by seemingly adult males with too much time on their hands.

Does it make him any money. Don't know but do care. Hope he is raking it in hand over fist.......... but have my doubts

What it shows is you are a supporter, and put your money where your mouth is - any "elevated status" is denoted by the Admin via the usage of "paid membership" by a flag avatar - I suppose its important to the Admin because otherwise why use a system to show whos a supporter - but its like that on many boards; personally i just feel if you are going to post - especially those who do so frequently - you should support the board - just MHO - obviously, some disagree - my point was not the $100 or so I spent a few years ago to get lifetime VIP status. Its interesting to note that whenever this subject comes up, its mostly those who are unpaid members - no shot at you - make the point that it realy does not matter - just sayin'

I don't do NY resolutions, but one thing I'm trying to do is not judge everyone by the norms, and mores that I hold - but its difficult - its like listening to George Nouri on "Coast to Coast" and taking seriously 90% of his guests, especially those who believe the Mayan Calendar said we were going to die, or the other strange beliefs they have (if you believe in aliens, or a ton of government conspiracy theories, this is your show - it was hosted by Art Bell for many years)

Personally, I'd like to see more guys post, especially those who have some knowledge about CR, and a sense of humor, as well as some ability to communicate (vs the one line posts so many are famous for) - sure the discounts are nice as well as the pix, but its not my main motivation - TEHO

I'd like to second the idea of more knowledeable guys posting, especially some of the old CRTers. As Bacon said "knowledge is power" and we need it to stay one step ahead of our enemies in this dangerous hobby.

It's New Years Eve, and I for one stay in on amateur night. Chinese food, Marx bros movies and hearing the Chicago gunshots at midnight is good enough for me. Happy New Year !

Building and maintaining these types of websites costs both time and money. So the idea of the website being free is all a matter of perspective. Free to who? Is the more appropriate question.

In a general sense, you can often tell the difference between paid and free members in how they treat the community. The difference could be compared to how people treat a public bathroom vs how they treat the one in their home. People are likely to have more respect for something they have a stake in. Whereas any jackass can come on here and act like an idiot when they are not part of the community. The guys who consider themselves 'members' treat others with a higher degree of respect.
