As of 3 weeks ago it hadn't. Perhaps a PM to Brother Mkink on the projected opening date?

I spent one night at the Amistad and spent a good deal of time hanging out in the bar drinking, eating and smoking. I like hanging with Asta, she's cool - I didn't know till a few weeks ago she used to be the bar manager at the Sportsmans Lodge until about one year ago. That was about the time of my first trip - in March 09 - so I just missed her. I like the Amistad, it's great, but there's no action there. I really like having the action right at my hotel, which is why i like the SL. Just enough action to make it fun, but not so much it's overwhelming like the DR.

I'm very intrigued by the Dunn Inn's announcement on their new plans. Bigger bar, casino, and looking to be big enough that they will attract some chicas looking for partying. That will be something I will have to check out.

Great thing about that new Dunn Inn venue is with a full casino license, they can stay open way later--"til 5 AM I'm told --and with quadrupling the kitchen size, serve full meals and bocas way late too. Definitely gonna be a destination joint, with everything done ultra-class. A perfect complement to SL for the late night party crowd (you know who you are).

La Amistad restaurant is delicious and their lunch specials are an excellent value. I got an outstanding fettucini alfredo w/ mushrooms, broccoli soup, and a drink for something like 3000 colones & it was the best meal I had in all of my two visits (four weeks) to CR. The meal was the highlight of my stay at LA & I had to come back the next day for seconds. Kudos to LA for providing some "real food" at unbelievable prices!

I don't know what is sweeter at the Amistad Bar, Asta or the Tartuffo for desert!

Now if only Sistah Asta weren't a married woman, the answer would be obvious. But I don't talk stuff about what's not and not gonna be on the menu. You could always ask if there's anymore at home like her--but they'd be in Lithuania (a bit far to travel).

Amistad is a nice, quieter place to take a hook up to, or for a different place to eat that is walking distance from the SL. Asta, of course, is also there and the best bartender I know of, she really knows her business.
