Further, you don't take into account a whole lot of other factors, such as the time and effort Admin1 puts into the site, finding Ticas of the Month and photographing them, arranging discounts, throwing one of several parties thrown each year, etc...

The cost of the site is more than it's bandwidth and server hosting. That's not to say that Admin1 doesn't probably make some money off the site, but I think you're being a bit disingenuous to suggest that it only costs $100 to provide everything the site provides.

You moron, it is hosted at 1&1 Internet which is in Pennsylvania and they have dedicated servers for $69 a month, which is what this site is hosted on.

However, if you feel you get good value out of being a member here, go for it and join. My point is that I was bashed earlier in the thread for having an opinion and was called 'too cheap to support the site'.

This site does not need support, but its a business like any other not a charity. If I don't want to join, phuck off, mind your own business. Don't make it seem like I am freeloading here as I really don't want to be a vip, I am happy with my regular membership, whats the problem with that?

Some of you guys are so phucking stupid its not even funny. Get a grip and get back to the topic of the thread.

using Vegas Bob's interaction with hotel management as an indicator. Their plan to reduce business must revolve around eliminating the A-personality customer. The one that wants his change immediately. A server standing at his side every minute. And they salute when he enters the room. You know high maintenance customers. Eliminate them in favor of the more relaxed patient I'm just happy to be here customer. Not a bad plan.

I think I was the third member on this site, and I've never used the card, not even once. It has value to coupon cutting whore mongers and guys who stay in the gulch, but being an expat here and only limiting myself to a few downtown places it does nada for me. However, I know ADMIN went out and worked hard to get all those deals for the guys who need it, so my hats off to him. He's a great guy and does a great job with this site. Happy New Year Admin 1.

IMHO, the owners of said establishments are doing just fine, and they probably are not worried about increasing their profit margin, nor are they worried about the reputation(s) of their businesses.

They have made a ton of money over the years, and chances are good that they will keep on making plenty of money - no matter what they do. And their reputation ??? It's the same as it's always been, so I'm sure they're not too worried about their reputation in the community, or around the world. It is what it is. The owners have seen it all, and have perservered.

Like the old saying : "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"!
Or as they say in Nascar: "If it ain't broke, don't break it" !

Personally, if I owned those establishments - I wouldn't do a single, phucking thing different! :!:
