Hi Sir , ID, If any way possible I would like to meet you at the Pizza Place and lets eat a slice or more and let the man who owns the place tell us how he does it. I will pay your cab to the place and back to your house as well as your tab at / for the meal . No charge for you only your time. . It would be my pleasure to meet you and say hello. Mr. Florida in all due respect as being very serious , I think I saw you on the elevator at the Morazon a while back . You seem to be of age to act adult and your postings have no info. and are silly. To be honest with you , you make grown white men look foolish. Could be why our country is in the shape it is in ?

Harlo either I have failed to communicate my question or you are misunderstanding the question. While I appreciate the offer it is not necessary since you have posted that Akropolis pizza makes their pizza with white cheese which is, in my experience, the norm.

My question is a very simple one. You are use to having pizza made with yellow cheese so all I have asked is what kind of cheese do they use? Now seeing that you are located in Panama City Beach, Fl. if you would like to expand that offer to a r/t air, hotel, miscellaneous expenses, etc. to try yellow cheese pizza I would be interested. Spring break time 2009 would fit my schedule perfectly.

Livincr had it right. Cerro's in San Antonio, Escazu. It's run by a Belgian fellow on the premises, clean as a whistle, thin crust, damn good pepperoni. On Saturdays and Sundays they're ready to cook around 1 pm., weekdays no earlier than 4:40 pm. With the exception of 1 Tica I've taken there who swears there's a better pizza on the road to Cartago near the Terra Mall, everyone loves the place.

Costa Del Sol gets my vote. Eat it at the counter like the locals.

Okay, no offense to you folks who suggested Costa Del Sol, but I ate there, and frankly it was pretty bad. Maybe when it comes out fresh from the oven it's better but mine was kinda barely warm. But aside from that it just did not have that certain something that makes good pizza - the right cheese, the right sauce...

I'll have to keep looking...

Like Greengo said: Il Pommodora=2 places in San Pedro. One in Escazu.

1) 2 strory place behind the Outlet Mall in San Pedro.

2) Original location near the park across the street from Outlet Mall.

3) I don't about the Escazu location. I never go out there. Too many gringos.

25 plus years serving great pizza to satisfied Ticos! They use the finest white cheese they can find......... but it turns a little darker (yellowish/brown) when baked. Imagine that!

Not too many gringos up here in San Antonio. Just a lot of horses, cows, chickens, and did I mention some cute chicas from the locale?

The Escazu location is on the old road to Santa Ana. Just past the U.S. ambassadors residence and just before Multicentro Paco.

The pizza is good but I wish they would offer a bigger size. What they call large is called medium in most places and they do not have any bigger size on the menu.

I agree with Zebra. I've ordered Cafe Mundo's pizza para llevar, and it was by far the best pizza I've had in CR (a short list, to be sure) and rivaled a lot of pies I've had in the US. :D

C'mon ID, get your mind off pizza, the color of the cheese and the diameter of the pie.......... and do your job. I thought this would be an easy one for you. You already hurt someone elses feelings. Am I next?

I am thinking of travelling for a couple/few months but think I will eventually return to Costa Rica.

I will need a place to store my furniture and car.

Obviously, I am a renter.

Any ideas?

What kind of price are we talking at Cafe Mundo, for a medium pizza?

I had a medium pizza at Papa John's in San Ramon the other day and it cost me $12! And, no, it was not very good.
