Was there last week for dinner, sat upper floor.

Meat was good as usual. Had the Navarro Correas - Gran Reserva Cabernet, very good vino for the price, about 24000c a bottle. Their Carpaccio de Pulpo was simply great.

Had the Panqueque ( pancake ) con Dulce de Leche for dessert. Caution all: I don't care what they call it, but it is not pancake in any western sense. It's more like crepe ... my tica called it tortilla anyway. And the Panqueque was fine.

Great service. One of my favorite place for wine and meat in SJO for sure.

donde carlos used to be my fav argentinian steakhouse, until i went to restaurant jurgens. i enjoyed the steak there way better than donde carlos. jurgens is not too far mall san pedro. take a right at the subaru dealership, head down a couple of blocks, and its on ur left, just at the curve in the road. great place to take a chica, very dim-light romantic ambience in there

Love Donde Carlos... It's one of the few places one can go and be guaranteed a nice dining experience. It's too bad San Pedro is such a hike for me
