The best ceviche besides the stuff my buddies girlfriend makes at home is at the resturant right beside Pantara Rosa. It has blue tile on the walls and counter, very clean, great service, and some eye candy to boot. They make it fresh every day.

Orange I like the ceviche in Princesa Marina as well, but there is one in Moravia, which should be closer to the gulch.

It's a pretty good size too. For me, with some crackers, it's a meal on its own. Last I bought it was ¢3500 (not the cheapest  ).

Let me say that if EsposoDebarbie's wife (er!! 'girlfriend' jeje) makes better ceviche than the place next to Pandera Rosa, I know why he is "wifed-up"!!  :P   Yes that place has some of the very best ceviche I have eaten anywhere in CR; and there are many sodas that have very good ceviche!

There is a small soda in Mercado Central that only serves ceviche and sopa de pescado, very good, fresh and cheap. Small ceviche is $3.

Thanks for the tip, Brother Pops. I make it a point to cruise the Mercado Central when in town--fascinating place. And I'm usually hungry.

I know I'm in the minority here, but ceviche to me is the most disgusting thing ever. If it even comes near me I start to gag. And when they serve it in the DR it comes with the "special sauce", ie, ketchup and mayo mixed together. Eeeecckkkk.
