Costa Del Sol gets my vote. Eat it at the counter like the locals.

I second this!!! Costa Del Sol! A slice of pizza standing at the counter, eating elbow-to-elbow with all the other tico's! Good stuff!

Greengo....Is El Pomodoro the same owners as the Pomodoro restaurant in Escazu in Multi centro Paco? I have found their pizza to be pretty good, however they don't deliver which is sometimes a pain in the ass. by the way Greego...thanks for actually posting something that I could actually understand.

Akropolis pizza next to the Hospital Calderon Guardia in the pharmacy building by the taxi stand. Real Greek pizza and the price is right

Harlo, I am not familiar with Greek pizza and suspect that some others here may also not be aware of the difference to Italian style pizza.

Can you give us a short description of the differences?

Harlo, are you talking about that mini-food court/mall/pharmacy building that's one block due east of the Amistad? Also has a Mister Pan pasteleria? Never hit me that it's Greek pizza. :D

ID, as I mentioned earlier, the crust is an airy, fluffy type, not thin or dense like Pizza Hut hand-tossed. Not loaded with sauce and cheese, more of a thin layer. I rather like it. :D

It's getting confusing. The crust is different and may have less sauce and cheese but to one guy that is Greek style to another it is not Greek style.

Off the top of my head I envisioned Greek style using feta cheese rather then mozzarella.

There was a rumor going round for a while that a certain popular "cigar bar" was going to offer NY STYLE pizza... Still waiting for an update on that one!

I had the ham pizza. May or may not have been Greek but it was cheap and the place is one block from the Amistad so I'll be going there a lot. :D

Sir in all due respect I do not understand your point. See the owner of the Pizza place I suggested for any further questions or comments. He can help you with your interest. In all due respect and kindness. harlo

Give me a break Harlo. Every place I know uses mozzarella cheese, which is a white cheese, when making pizza.

Your post "It has white cheese instead of yellow" indicates that where you live yellow cheese is the norm.

With "all due respect and kindness" I am asking what kind of cheese is used where you live.
