There is another place I like called La Pomme. It is Italian cusine. I love their lizangne

There are two of them. The more modern facility faces Parque Roosevelt. Any cab driver would know where it is. If you are driving, it is one block south of the main road which runs between San Jose and San Pedro. In San Jose that road is called Ave 2 but it turns into Central Avenue in San Pedro about where the rail road tracks cross the road.

La Pomme is on the south side of the rust colored three story building called the Outlet Mall. Pomme has off street parking. It is two stories and is dark rust in color. I thnk the intersection is Calle 1 and Ave 2 in San Pedro which is a different municipality than San Jose.

There is also the funky original La Pomme in the university village area of San Pedro – north of Parque Kennedy. It is pretty much north of the northwest corner of the same Outlet Mall.

This being said, I personally enjoy dining at the "Y" while I'm in S.J.!

I'm thinking the same thing, but you need to do the sniff test first. You wouldn't eat anything too old or stinky in your fridge so you should apply the same high standards when dining at the Y.

It has been quite a while since I was there, but I used to stop some early evenings at Key Largo. They used to have some fairly-decent simple meals (like fried chicken with rice and beans and a salad) for little prices (less than 2000 colones) and you could sit at the bar, drink, and chat with the chicas while you ate. I don't know if that is still the practice there, though, since it has been a while. Someone who has been there more recently may care to give an update.

Not sure but it sounds like Rico is referring to the old KL where they use to serve meals not the new KL buffet.
