I guess as with chicas, ymmv. Haven't had a memorable burger in SJ in many moons. I remember way back in the day when I stayed at the Del Rey, I ordered burgers there so I could use room service and remember enjoying them more than any others in the city. Now, I had quite a few acceptable burgers, but have always satisfied my burger craving in Jaco. And since it is an occasional treat for me, I don't really care the price if good.
Sorry, I am bored while waiting for some software I am testing to download; to me, the meat always tastes a little bit funny, can't really put my finger on it, (as opposed to putting a finger in it.) and having been to a slaughter house in San Jose many years ago, I can tell you quite literally that ground beef is indeed what is left over when everything else is carved out. Those joncing for a burger, should just wait until they are back in the states or hit McDonalds as they are pretty much the same everywhere.
