I am a beer drinker, I usually prefer very bitter beers. Do they serve any IPA or English bitters? Failing that, what beer do they serve?

They used to have a couple of local craft beers on tap. I don't know if they are still serving it since the pandemic slowdown. Aside from that not much except the local lagers (imperial, Bavaria, Pilsen), the popular American beers and a couple of Mexican (Corona) beers.

I am also a beer drinking man and having a Twin Peaks IPA right now. The draft taps were still in place at SL a few weeks ago. If they are not serving it at SL you can probably find a few IPAs at Selina just down the hill and to the left on Ave 11. Also at that Tico bar next to Chubb's at Park Morazan. I had a pretty good craft IPA and a lager at Rolling Thunder in Jaco. This used th be the Beatle Bar. Here is a link to popular beers in CR.

You can also visit Mas por Menos Avenida Central super market and they did have bottles of some different types of beers (Euro and American) last time I was there. Can walk from the gulch but I taxi back with my heavy payload of cervezas hehehe.

AM PM convenience may have some but not as many as a Supermarket would.

There is also Auto Mercado Calle 3 which may have some. Also within walking distance of the gulch.

Think the Mas X Menos supermarket on ave central has closed. Like so many other stores.
Automercado has a great selection of craft beers.

Just returned from CR, SL has 3 "craft" beers on tap - Amber Ale, IPA and a Lager (forgot the names, but all are decent).

One place that no one mentions, and it's right down the hill from SL, is the Steifel Pup, decent (about six rotating drafts, more bottles) selection of local beers, bar food, open Tuesday -Sat until 10 pm.

It would be a dream come true if SL served Angry Orchard or Stella Artois Cidre.

I do know Angry Orchard is available in Costa Rica as I buy it occasionally in WalMart. I do not know if SL has it but I can check when I am there this week. Every know and then an Angry Orchard with a shot of Fireball dropped in just hits the spot.....

When I was there in April, they did not have either.

I was just dreaming and wishing they did.
