Hi folks, I will be visiting CR soon and I was wondering if there is any chance I can find vegetarian food close by? (no meat and no fish either)

I live around the corner from SL and walk to a place that is vegetarian, vegan and even has raw about 3 times a week. It is in Barrio Escalante, about 50 meters from the Caribean restaurant Whappin. Great food, great smoothies and even have green juice. Real juice, not this sugary, gelled stuff most places sell. Hope you enjoy.

Check side dishes at SL. I am also vegetarian. No meat no fish no eggs. I had no problem finding food in CR.
just learn to ask for no huevos no carne no piscado. Those are my first spanish words that i learned before my first trip to the gulch 3 yrs ago

There is a Asian vegetarian place just up the street from HLH. Don't know the name but if you go out the front door of HLH, turn left and walk up the to the end of road, turn left again then right at the first road it is right there near the corner.
