Me and 2 gringo friends had burgers and fries yesterday. All 3 of us agreed we would go back. It wasn't very busy at lunch time, as McDonalds has all the business.

The one place that I do not understand why anyone would go to is Pollo Campero - overpriced, horrible, nasty and greasy.

There is a place, I think it may be Mariscar, just west of Chilies, down the narrow corridor to the large open area in the back. They have reasonably priced lunch specials -- casados.

The best for lunch is Muñoz y Nane east of San Pedro in Curridabat. But go early. They sell out.
