First went to Monolo's on my first trip. Enjoyed the place and the view from the 2nd floor. Since then, service has gone way down and the quality of the food in my humble opinion is not worth the price.
Last time I was there with a buddy of mine, he ordered a ceviche and as he was eating it, he chipped a tooth on a large industrial staple that was in his ceviche. Of course, he complained and the only thing the waiter did is laugh thinking that it was funny and telling us that it was probably a staple from the bag of ice.
After a lot of yelling we left not leaving for the ceviche but still charged him for the whole meal.
Came back later with the dental bill and they wouldnt pay for it. Considering the dental bill wasn't that much but havent been back there since then.
Too bad though since I enjoyed the view on Avenida Central from the 2nd floor. In all honesty, I think the food at the restaurant downstairs is a lot better and cheaper.
