The Holiday Inn Aurola's Mirador restaurant has a weekday business man's lunch special for 4,500 colones. Each weekday has a different choice of entree and includes an appetizer, drinks (I had 3 coca lights, I don't know if alcohol is included), and dessert.

I went twice last visit and the food was very good, tax and a service charge is included in the price, and I think it is a good deal, particularly when you factor in the view from the 17th floor.

However, I had to request the "special" menu on both visits and the second time they over charged me, until I reminded them that I had ordered the special. So check your bill, it should be 4,500 colones exactly or $9 USD. Go on a clear day and bring your camera.

I saw an ad in the Tico Times about the 17th floor restaurant at the Holiday Inn. Several of the places I have seen advertised in the TT turned out to be expensive and not very good. Glad to know it is good. Think I'll try it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
