This is an all night bar, resaurant and deli type local hangout with a bit of local charachter.I go there often before going to bed.It is a great place for a late night snack or early morning breakfast. It is only one block east of the Presidente.A little snack before bed helps the hangover if I have had to mas cevazas. It is a quite reasonable place.rbc100

Chelles is a San Jose landmark. Has been there like 50 years. Prices are reasonable, food is good (try the Cuban sandwich medio nocho). Is one block east of the Presidente and one block south of the Del Rey and is open 24/7.

Didn't know the name, but had a late night sandwich there. I did have the cuban sandwich and it was good.

Is that the 24-hour sandwich place on the corner of Av2/Calle9?? If so, I love that place!

Different place then, but I'll have to check it out. I've made numerous late-night runs to the sandwich place on the corner I described. I'll post its name after the upcoming trip.

Bombero,

Maybe you are talking about the tiny corner place named "la casa del sandwich" on Ave 2 and calle 11 ..... right across from the matress Store.

Best regards

Mente
