Location is fine, inside a commercial plaza ( with BCR , and a couple more restaurants ) off the main street not far from Mall San Pedro, and if you know where Outlet Mall is, you can pretty much walk from there.

The place is modern and cozy, has chairs that shaped like giant chop sticks. There is a Tatami room/area behind the sushi bar.

Went there with some ticas and tico. Sushi wise, they loved it. I would only rate it very so so if I am to compare the sushi and sashimi to Fuji's. We had sushi rolls, sashimi, Tempura soba, miso soups, 2 hot sake and desserts and a few fruit beverage.

Tempura was pathetic, seriously pathetic.

The bill was a little bit under 50000c for 4 person.

Don't go there if you know your sushi and sashimi, there are better places, and I shall in fact say " stick with Fuji, if you can."

On the other hand, I'd go back just to entertain my local friends since the location is pretty good. Ichiban has a few other locations around SJO.

Service was good, and it was pretty full during our stay. Too bad about the sushi and sashimi.
