It has been 7 years since last visit. My first time to stay in a Condo. Send me a message if there or also on the way.

I will be arriving slighlty later than you and I was wondering if you are able to recommend chica friendly hotels? Are AirBnbs better? Is it standard practice for hotels to allow chicas into the room like in the Philippines? I hear NANA Plaza area hotels are good. Any others you recommend; I prefer chica friendly of course.

Most all 3 star hotels in the tourist Sukhumvit area are girl friendly. De sure to reserve for 2 people. Nana Hotel is old, cheap and convenient on Soi 4. Soi 4 and 11 are the most expensive areas for girls. I recommend The Thermae between Soi 13 and 15.
The Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel is there for $42 on AGODA. The Best Comfort Hotel up on Soi 15 is more quiet and a little cheaper. The prices for girls are better. ST is B1500 to B3000 depending on quality. Caution, the best looking may not give the best performance.

This will be my first time to Thailand and I will be staying two months. If everything goes well, I will purchase a bronze elite membership visa just to avoid the thai bureaucracy and as a long term investment.

The initial upfront cost (opportunity cost) is high ($20,000) though mathematically, in the long-term, I will save tons of money. Hundreds of thousands of dollars over a five year period as America is too expensive to live for top dollar and mediocracy performance. Then, buy a 10 year or just permanently retire there. Currently under age 50 so I do not qualify for the retirement visa.

Thank you and I appreciate everyone's info. cheers!

Sounds like a good plan. Be sure to use You Tube for all your info. I recommend Cooper Thai Adventures. He has helped many people in their transition from the US. Good Luck

I'll check that channel out. I've also been watching Eager Expat as well as Retired Working for You are all dedicated to Thailand. Lots of good info and on the ground foot work on Eager Expat's channel. I go to Philippines on Mar 1 and I kind of wished I just skipped it and went straight to Thailand based on the info watched in the previously mentioned channels. Regardless though, I'm going to enjoy my time in the Philippines. Thanks for the info. cheers!

Several times, I have flown into Manila, spend a week in Phil then fly Cebu or Air Asia for 2 weeks to Thailand then return for a week. Cheap flights if booked ahead. Many times, flying to Manila can be about $300 cheaper than Thailand. Thai tourist VISA is now 60 days. Phil is still 30 but very easy to extend.

With up to a total of three year extensions, and Philippines is winning as far as best retirement destination but I believe Thailand can beat the Philippines though I will be unsure until I return from a two month exploration of Thailand beginning in at the end of April.

Currently in Japan where it is easier to meet women if you know Japanese people. I have deep ties to Japan and meeting women is not hard for me. Otherwise, it can be if you don't know anyone. The best bet then is to jump on one of the dating apps (Tinder or Bumble) or hit up one of the happy ending massage parlors where the Chinese women work.

I do believe Japanese women are some of the best women in the world but if anyone is looking for hoes or prostitutes, they will be hard pressed to find that here. My bad about the Japan rant but we are talking about that part of the world. So, thought I'd mention it in case one of the readers wanted some info.

Thanks for the Japan info. You will find Thailand much cleaner and more modern. The train and bus systems are great.
Cost of living about the same. More English in all areas is spoken in Phil. Best to learn Thai for getting around in Thailand.
