Got a lot of credits to burn this year on Delta and also trying to get enough flights on United to do a status match as I am "divorcing" Delta. They really screwed everyone chasing status except frequent business travelers paying pretty much
full fare.

March 4 to 6. Boca Chica - Hotel Garant and Suites

March 7 - 11. Sosua - New Garden Hotel

April 3 - 5. Subic Bay - Central Park Reef Resort

April 6 - 13. Angeles City - Wild Orchid Lagoon Resort

April 14. Makati - City Garden Grand

April 15 - 16. Malate / Ermita - Regency Grand Suites

May 18. San Jose - Hotel Castillo. FYI they have discontinued the heavily discounted taxis to and from Jaco and San Jose. I will probably take InterBus. Just over $40 each way.

May 19 - 21. Jaco - Trying to decide between the Cocal and Hotel Jaco. Would definitely pick Hotel Jaco but their cancelation policy is pretty onerous. Maybe just book it at the last .minute when I am sure I am traveling.

May 22 - 26. San Jose - Hotel Castillo.

Just signed up for an annual travel policy with Allianz. Got the middle of the road policy. Basic trip cancelation and trip interruption. Decent medical and repatriation. If I get sick or injured enough to exceed the limits, I won't be in any position to care anyway. Was $280 for the year. Went with them as they allow trips up to 45 days each where Trawick only allows 30. I am going to SE Asia in October and that trip is scheduled for 40 days including flights.

Anyone have any experience with them? I can cancel the policy up until March 4.

I always use Allianze for my trips and only once needed them to pay $250 for a throat infection I got in Switzerland and saw a doctor there. I think I got the infection after some DATY in Frankfurt.
They were responsive and paid up fast.

Fly to the Philippines tomorrow. Changed itinerary a bit and eliminated the trip to Subic. Extended my stay in Angeles City and will overpay and stay for 4 nights at the ABC hotel. Read a lot about it and figured I'd give it a try.
