Greetings,
This is my first post on this site. Been reading many forums too.
I've been planning my time for a great escape to CR for months. Finally nailed down my dates, then booked my flight. I'm figuring first two nights in San Jose, then drive to Jaco for a week, and return to SJ on following Thursday 3/14.
I've consulted with some travel gurus I'd met through YouTube, and been given many other local contacts too, which I've reached out to as well.
So Far, I'm thinking to book my hotel stays at the Taormina for the San Jose legs. Then the Sports Bar Oz in Jaco, which is next door to the Cocal casino.

I've already talked to some local connections for insight about excursions, and plan for a zip line tour, ATV Eco waterfall tour with animal sightings and lunch, and a food dine around restaurant tour; all in Jaco for those.

I'm really interested in going on a deep sea fishing trip out of Jaco too. I'd love to find any others that would want to join such a charter. I understand that mahi should be good catching and that its a prime period for Sailfish too.

The food tour needs at least 3 to keep the booking too. I'm figuring I would find some company to be my plus one for that, yet just putting it out there.

Not so much looking for a roommate to cut my costs. Though I would value a high quality wingman for some bar visits, transports, excursions, etc.
I'm about a 3 of 10 on Spanish speaking. If you can speak more conversationally like an interpreter, I could imagine the wingman part going even better for the girl connections.

My name is Michael. I live in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. I'm a professional executive chef, investor, and poker dealer. A SWM, 55, tall clean cut respectable gentleman, with a good bit of mongering experience too.
So if we connected during these time frames, either in SJ or Jaco, I'd be up for hitting the spaces together, and if we needed someone to call for back up, in case of emergency, I'd welcome this kind of engagement.
Hey, also consider picking up two ticas together and having a swap session - haha.

Send me a message here if this kind of agenda, during my time frame, seems like a good idea to connect together.

Cheers

So I am coming in on the 25th of February to the 2nd of March so just missing you. On the off-shore fishing, I would recommend Maverick Sportsfish. Not only do they have great tours, they are also a high-end fishing boat manufacturer and use their own boats - which are amazing. Too bad we did not align. I have three of us going and while we are in Jaco we will be in a condo at Vista Mar which sits on property for Cocal. A lot of fun though.

Yes,
Too bad our dates are not quite in alignment. I would have made a great fourth.
I made a note for the Maverick Sportsfish. Thanks for the info.

Our days should overlap, I'll be there from Feb 20-Mar 20, hit me up

Btw you can grab a shuttle to Jaco for about $58 at Selinas, which is a block away from Sportsman. It's like a 3min walk. Private drivers will charge you $120'ish each way.
