Memorial Day is fine, especially for a first time visitor. Stay at Sportsmens Lodge. There should be lots other gringos in town, introduce yourself around the bar. Read a bunch, starting with viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16357 |

I looked at the rooms available at Sportsmens and I would recommend El Puma for $139, Del Mar, El Dorado or Mirador for $99. It looks like the rooms are filling up, so if you want a good room, I wouldn’t wait based on my past experience. I am staying there during that time frame as well. |
