I am scheduled to be in Panama and San Jose in early June but was getting a bit bored so decided to head to Sosua DR for a few days. I love retirement :-)

Going to spend the first two nights at the Ahnvee Resort and then six nights at the Sosua Inn, a little closer to the beach. If anyone might be headed down there, give me a yell and let's get a drink.

Just returned from a week in El Batey and Costambar.

The good, bad and ugly;

Ahnvee is no longer what it was in September. 500 peso cover no longer goes to your bill. Ratios and attitudes are bad.

Clisante was nothing but ragged haitianas and mafiosa dominicanas

New Garden onsite amigas are back and they were the bomb. The best.

Sosua and Alicia Beach gorgeous and the weather fantastic this time of year.

Barba Negra was excellent. Some of the shipmates were 7s and up.

Costambar beach also a great beach with some very good, although Rustic restaurants.

Puerto Puerto Laboratorio will come to your hotel and do the Antigen test for 400 DOP domicilios plus 2000 DOP for test results in 6 hours by whatsapp.

The curfew now is 10am weekdays and 9 am which is much more reasonable. The game has shifted to facebook, tinder, whatsapp, etc.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the current news Phoenix Rising.

Do you have to stay at the New garden or can you just visit like you can at Ahnvee?

You do not have to stay at New Garden to go there. They have a restaurant, so you can go have a drink or eat and the girls are usually sitting at a table. If you see something talk to them and bring them to wherever you want.

excellent. Sounds like a great spot for a late lunch on the weekend. I'll be staying most of my time at the Sosua Inn and it looks like a one minute walk to the New Garden.
