I was filling out the CR form to get QR code to enter the country this weekend. I signed up for Trawick and got a certificate. I went to upload, but noticed it doesn't spell out the insurance I have, other than saying I have $1500 trip insurance. It doesn't mention if I have the requisite insurance coverage plans otherwise, so it doesn't specifically say I have $50,000 medical, etc.

Did I do something wrong when I purchased the plan?

Maker sure you bought the Voyager plan below set up for Costa Rica travelers and that should be sufficient.

My quote for May 27-31 is $235. Does that sound about right?

Your trip cost should be zero if you only want what is required by CR

Do not have to buy travel insurance anymore for CR. Makes it a bit easier to go there!!

Insurance is like $35 for extended stay 20 days and up to $250K of hospital insurance. For that amount why not make sure you have insurance in case you do get sick and have to stay. Beats paying for 2 weeks of room rental and whatever else??

I am going to be in town for only 6 nights starting next Tuesday August 17. Even though I am vaccinated I am still paranoid about catching Covid especially since the Israeli study shows that the Pfizer vaccine is only a little better than 40% effective against the Delta variant. They say you probably won't get very sick but you will show a positive test.

Since I plan to do VERY little social distancing while I am in San Jose I figured the insurance would help with the peace of mind. It was only about $5 a day and at least would cover any extended stay required as well as most costs associated with changing my flights.

Vaccinated here with Moderna which drops to 74"% after 6 months which makes me borderline from February 9.

Arriving at HC 8/18 for 6 nights. Bought Trawick insurance for the same reason as Harddrive. Cost was $58 including $500 trip cost for non-refundable airfare.

Will test as early as possible on Saturday to lessen the likelihood of a positive test. If flight is delayed within 48 hours, the covid test is still valid.

I didn’t get insurance but I did sneakily get a third Pfizer shot this week. Study by Pfizer showed a booster was very effective against delta. That’s my insurance policy.
