I know it's a long shot, but if anyone here wants to meetup in Tijuana between Christmas and New Year's day, let me know. To those of you who will tell me that it's the wrong time to go to Tijuana because of the holiday. I've been there already more than once during Christmas and during Easter weekend and have had a blast each time. Regardless of your plans, merry Christmas and happy New Year to all.

I have never done a Tijuana trip but have been thinking about it. Does going over and coming back each day make more sense or do you spend the night over there? Is there anything comparable to the Del Rey in San Jose, where you can both lodge and monger there?

Greetings from Tijuana. To answer your questions, it definitely makes more sense to stay at a hotel in Tijuana. There are plenty of affordable, nice hotels to choose from here. To answer your second question, Hong Kong, the most famous brothel/strip club here has a hotel, but it is in the heart of the red light district and will be very noisy. All the brothels/strip clubs here have hotels you can bring the chicas to. The prices of the rooms are usually not too bad. As far as a hotel that is directly similar to the Hotel Del Rey or Sportsmen's Lodge, no such hotel exists here.....but between the strip clubs/brothels, escort agencies, and las paraditas, there are plenty of opportunities to find what you are looking for. To sum it up, there are differences between here and Costa Rica. There are many similarities as well, but if you are expecting direct parallels to the HDR or SL, you will be disappointed.
