This is my first post and have learned some good stuff here already. I am glad to be here. Our trip ... We are three dudes in total and are going for fishing and ticas. My first and last time in CR was 2003 so I am sure things have changed a bit. We rented a car because we are going to Quepos to fish a few days then going to Jaco for the last three days of the trip. First off , are there any Ticas for hire in Quepos.? If not, should we try to pick up a few in Jaco and bring them with us for a day/night thing ,I guess it’s called GFE. Second , besides Hotel Cocal are there any other places for Ticas in Jaco? Can Ticas be hired from bars, clubs, other hotels. We haven’t booked a hotel yet in Jaco either and was wondering what other options are there in Jaco for guest friendly hotels . Thanks

obviously your chances of doing things get better if you speak spanish
but if you want to fish for real i think you would be taking the chance of ruining things by inviting girls
going to be pretty difficult to judge what her attitude will be like for multiple days
and its not like you can just request gfe from the average girl unless thats what they deliver
the cocal and jaco are churn and burn and those girls are looking to make as much cash as possible
so taking off w you guys isn't likely to look good unless the money is right
never saw much action in quepos to speak of but you can look around and who knows?
imo most of the ladies you meet in CR can be approached if you have some finesse and again can speak the language
personally i would just keep the fishing and the chicks separate

Nahhh...everything's still the same...HDR is packed solid morning, noon and night, New Fantasy is still the #1 MP, Zona Blue is still loved and comes in a strong second...

Christina, Karen, Pamela, Sandra, Vanessa, they're all still working, not a one looks over 22, not a one a 1/2 kilo overweight...

Seriously, La gives excellent advice. I second the recommendation, enjoy the girls at Cocal, then enjoy some camaraderie and fishing by yourselves.

Unless you're renting a mini-yacht, the girls usually take no joy from "fishing boats", fishing, and a bunch of semi inebriated guys whooping it up...so now you're paying for them to be there, be dour and bitchy and fussy...centuries ago men thought it was bad luck to have a woman on your boat, I concur...

In any event, have a blast, and hopefully you'll catch a lot of pink snapper and none gets "spoiled"...
