I’m Colin 27, worked as an emt, am now doing some boring govt stuff and am for the first time finally getting out of the states.

I’m staying at the del rey for the first 3 nights. But to be honest, my expectations for CR are really low right now. I just feel like it’s going to be overpriced with a lot of chubbers around.

Because of that, I’d be down to meet up with some cool people, have some beers and learn the game. I’m also traveling solo and would be open to traveling further out with a group if San Jose is dissapointing (which i kinda expect). I hear Medellin is cool but it’a obviously not somewhere I would go solo.

Keep your expectations low and you will be pleasantly surprised. Head to Sportsman Lodge, Hotel Little Havana, and the Blue Marlin bar at the Rey, you will find plenty of like minded individuals that will be more than willing to explore the monger scene in San Jose.

I’ll be around through Sunday. At Castillo but will frequent SL and Del Rey morning noon and night

Medellin is totally good to travel solo.There's the obvious safeguards, of course, but there are several youtube channels devoted to listing all of the guidelines of safety. Or searches in this group as well.

I am noob also, I am landing Dec 4th and staying at SL for a week. Let PM me, I wouldn't mind meeting up with a not so noob as yourself as you will be 1 week wiser than I.
