You are staying in the perfect place. SL is a short walk to the Blue Marlin. Walk there and cab home with your chica(s). Plus Bill is the perfect host, the bartenders are awesome and the food is amazing. Have fun!

And if Bill does not wave at you at least once while you are there, I would demand a full refund. :D

All newcomers to SL must present their Cargo shorts for inspection, a strict 2 inches below the knee minimum, no exceptions, is strictly enforced, but other than that restriction, you're going to really have a blast and anything goes!

Announce your coming a couple days before your flight, you always get responses from fellow travelers who want to meet up, have fun and welcome!!! :)

Correction: Right at the knee. 2 inches below would look too much like pant. So, right at the knee. :P

The SL bikini contest last Saturday (May 26) was a lopsided affair...1 contestant and 9 "others". Lol. It was fun, even though SL jammed the internet when the contest finally started. I don't blame them. Yes, the food at SL is quite good. Especially when you consider that it's basically ground zero. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Well, you're testing the limits and guaranteed to get some frowns.

Many of us are aware those individuals from Northern European backgrounds prefer this upper level, often accompanied by crisp neatly ironed short sleeve dress shirts, still found at Sears or JC Penneys, but nowhere else.

Don't think for one minute, however, that we're allowing you to wear brightly colored suspenders instead of a belt with those girly man versions of cargo shorts favored by Walmart shoppers. Furthermore, you'll be immediately challenged if caught wearing clogs with them.

I mean, we allow you shirts with pictures of fish on them and worn out sandals, or even worse, flip flops, but we gotta draw the line somewhere. :? 8)

In Europe and most parts of San Francisco Men's shorts that stop below the knee are called Capri Pants.

To OP.

Hey brother, When you get a chance, please school us up quick on MDE if you don't mind.

Many guys on here have "graduated" on to Columbia after a couple/few visits to CR. It would be interesting to hear your opinion about both places after visiting CR when you've already been to Columbia.

Thanks and have a great trip!
