Post subject:  September 2nd thru September 9th Trip
Heading to San Jose for my birthday week. Not sure if I will stay at the Del Ray or Sportsmen's so I booked both! Reason being, Del Ray puts you in walking distance of everything while Sportsmen's seems to require a taxi. Ok, I love both places and I might split my stay to enjoy the 2. Anyway, anyone heading down the same time drop me a note, always welcome meeting fellow members. Jim :D

Happy early b-day, Jim. SL is not as far from HDR as you may think...but an Uber would be your safest bet after dark. However, we have made the trek on foot multiple times without incident. Cut through the park. :shock:

Honestly, keep your wits. Don't flash jewelry/cash or drunk-walk (stagger around like an idget) and you'll be fine...BUT, for about 1,300 colones, an Uber will deliver you and a chica safely back to SL / La Amistad. Enjoy!
