Hi Guys,

Going to San Jose for 2 weeks in either August or September and just purchased my VIP membership. Once my card arrives, I will book my flight and hotel. I am looking at staying the Hotel el Castillo, since they appear to be chica friendly and do not charge fees for bringing ladies back. Plus they are close to HDR and SL. If anyone has any feedback on my choice of Hotel El Castillo, please let me know. I speak basic Spanish, am travel experienced and want a decent hotel close to the action that will not deny me or charge me for bringing chicas back to my room.

This will be my first trip to San Jose, but I was in Costa Rica 15 years ago for a scuba diving trip, plus a jungle visit and a trip to Mount Arenal.

I have spent 15+months over 4 trips in Peru and a month over 2 trips to Colombia and love to have fun with the ladies and also meet new friends from my other favorite forum and now this forum too.

Once I book the exact dates, I will post again. In the meantime, I will be reading as much as I can so I can hit the ground running. Already have Badoo and Tinder on my phone, so ready to go.

I look forward to meeting some of you! Any questions or comments, please feel free to share.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip and I definitely will. Looks like I will get the King Room with balcony overlooking zoo and add the all-inclusive for $10 so I can enjoy myself while at the hotel and entertaining.

I love the Castillo. The staff has always taken great care of me. Yes it is true that the morning breakfast is often prepared by the housekeeping staff but they do a great job. If there are several people having breakfast around the same time you can't expect a wait for your food because they are not professional line Cooks so they don't really know how to make everything all at once so they tend to serve one person their order and then move on to the next and then the next but it's okay. The all-inclusive for $10 a day and you get your made-to-order breakfast you get a appetizer entree and dessert for lunch and for dinner as well on top of that you get your well brand drinks and beers and if you go premium then you get a 50% discount for yourself your chicas will not receive a discount in their drinks can easily run $10 a piece and their dinners can be 15 to $20. You will not be allowed to partake of the all-inclusive if you do not book directly with the hotel you cannot go through a third-party site you also cannot use your Costa Rica Tica discount and also get the all-inclusive , it is one or the other. If you stay at least four nights the Castillo will also provide you with a free trip to the airport for your flight home... No it's not actually free because I still tip the cabbie as would anyone. Sometimes it's tough if the hotel is busy they can't keep up with all the laundry so sometimes it's hard to find enough extra towels. As a side note La Amistad also will reciprocate since the same owners and you can have meals and drinks at either hotel by showing your whatever room card that they give you when you check in. La Amistad menu is a little more Broad with some different entrees but the food is quite good at either facility. The Sportsman's Lodge is very close to La Amistad but the Castillo is also not far away. Check out pension Monica's and try to book a session with Diana. (Dayana). She really does give a good massage but the house masseuse at the Castillo and Lamas dad is a professional and her massages are excellent. Enjoy your stay.
