Looking to have a great Halloween trip, staying for 2 weeks - 1st 3 nights at the Sportsmen's, then renting a car and going to Guanacaste Tamarindo for some Zip Lining and Sunset Cruise- Then going the next beach North to Playa Grande for Surfing and Boogie Boarding for the day - Then traveling back to Manuel Antonio and going Whitewater Rafting for a day - Next Cocal staying at Mango Mar next door and checking out the action. Then coming back to Sportsmen's for 4 more nights of fun and frolic. I have a friend I met on a previous trip coming with and he has never been out of San Jose, so this will be an eye opener for him. I really enjoy splitting time between San Jose and the beach because there is just so much to see. My friend wanted to bring girls but I talked him out of it because we want to do a lot of Jungle stuff and I didn't think we could do all we wanted and drag women around with us. I assured him I could find us some action as I've been coming to Costa Rica for 24 years now and have pretty much done it all, and even know some spots for a quick release.
When we get to Cocal he will really be in heaven and so will I. Pura Vida

Sounds like an awesome 2-week trip!!

I'll be there for Halloween weekend too.

Does the majority of the guys dress in costume for the Sportsman's Halloween party?

I'll be there for Halloween. If you get a chance to hit La Fortuna for a day you have to hit Baldi Hot Springs with a Day Pass. We do not eat or drink on the property as it adds up quick plus we always have plenty of food and drink in our vehicle. We do run out somewhat frequently for beer.

Partytime,
yes, most of us dress in costume. it's a lot of fun and Bill has a contest for best costume and if I remember right a beer chugging contest. The girls are all dressed in costume and the bartenders are an awesome sight.

Hey guys I'm having a hard time picking a costume.
Can someone please help me out?
What were some costumes Gringos wore in the past or as a couple with a girlfriend?

Do they go all out or just a simple mask?

Thanks in advance!!

That is a 2 part question, I would make an effort to look good in a costume. the girls do dress up and lots of photos with them and a good way to start a conversation. If you don't there are a bunch of people who don't, but now you are not in party mode with those who are! It's your call, but more fun in costume. Party Hardy and Pura Vida

Johnriker,
You should check out the Halloween costumes that the girls wear. I would stay and go to Sportsmen's, Del Rey, Key Largo and even Zona II and enjoy yourself. It's quite a show and it will put a smile on your face. Like i said earlier wear a costume and get some pics with the hottest ladies in costume and some conversation. you might just have the time of your life.
It's your 1st post, so stay awhile and enjoy the trip.
