Not clear when you were there last, but if it was 6 years ago you're in for a big surprise...place has changed a lot...do some searches, ready the boards

Terminal 7-10 is a nice bus /mall. Cheap trip, buy return ticket at terminal in Jaco not far from Crocs hotel.

Uber is a little cheaper then taxi ($100)

The new, modern, clean, safe Terminal 7-10 that services Jaco and many other destinations is located at Avenida 7 and Calle 10. That's about 7 blocks west of Zona 2....... an easy walk in the daylight.

The Jaco ticket counter is on the second floor. Cost is about $5, but it's easier to pay with colones. When you buy the ticket, you get a reserved seat number, like most airlines. Bus boarding is on the ground floor. The busses leave ON TIME, so don't be late.

You can buy a return ticket in San Jose also. Or you can buy the return ticket in Jaco at the Jaco terminal.

If you prefer, you can buy a ticket online at the website for the bus to Jaco. Google >>>ruta 655 <<<. That will get you to the website. Look for "seats available" on the left of the screen to see how many seats have already been sold for a particular departure time and particular date. Seats available = asientos disponibles.

The Jaco busses can be sold out at busy times. It's best to buy a ticket ahead of time. If you buy a ticket online, you show the driver at the terminal the confirmation of your purchase that you'll have on your phone screen or on your paper printout. He'll already have you on his preprinted list at the bus door when you get there.

I'll add - - - that several busses to and from Jaco on the weekends are DIRECTO busses. They're quicker, non-stop trips.

You can see which departure times are DIRECTO by looking at the "seats available" screen on the website. The DIRECTO busses are noted as EXTRA on the website.

Seats available = asientos disponibles

If you get in on time and customs is only 30 minute, Arriving mid day on a Friday there are many potential delays, plus you need to get to the Terminal, so you may not have any down time. Although having a dedicated Uber may be more desirable leaving direct
