First Timer Mar 7th-21st.

This is my first trip to CR (SJ and Jaco). This is my overdue gift to myself. My birthday is on 10th. I will be staying @SL the 7th-9th, 9th-12th (somewhere in Jaco/maybe) @LA 13th-16th, 16th-17th@HD, and back @SL 17th-21st.

I'm looking to meet some Nica since I have read a lot of great reviews.

I'm looking to do a fishing trip while I'm there. (I need to pictures to show the lady on my return. LOL)

I have been doing my research and founded this wonderful site with much information. I look forward to meeting CR members while I'm down.

Lots of hotels. They all are very close to each other FYI.

Whitecat, thanks for the info. Yeah I may have to tighten up that. The only reservation that I made was the SL on the 7th-9th and LA the 13th-16th. I just wanted to get something booked for my arrival. I have some time to make some adjustment. I want to do the Del Rey for a couple of nights just to check it off my to do list. I'm open to suggestion and best deal from the group.

That is alot of transfers, pack light! It may not work with your schedule but 4 nights at LA gets you a free round trip to Jaco and to the airport (small tip to the driver). Not sure if they have to be consecutive prior to Jaco, but Matt may comment. If money and time are no issue, then rock it out.

Thanks Jfoot. I have decided to cut my trip to 7th-16th to get more bang for my buck. I'm going to do SL 7th-10th and LA 10th-16th to take advantage of the all-inclusive package and the free round trip to Jaco. I have learned a lot from reading others post. Great Site!!

Good deal, i have stayed in both and now prefer LA mainly for the all inclusive. SL is a great venue also and you will find yourself in and out of there during your stay at LA since there are no chicas at LA (aside from invited guests). Its a definite change of pace from SL and DR and a welcome respite away from the action which you may need during your trip!
Compared to SL, You will need to be more patient with the bartenders at LA, it is a more relaxed atmosphere. SL typically has 2 working the mornings through late afternoon and then staff up to 3 or more depending on the night. LA has 1 all day from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm and are pulled in various directions when there are more than 4 people in the bar.
The all inclusive is wonderful, its great to not have to pick up your tab each time, but just tip the bartender accordingly.

I'd strongly suggest considering the Castillo.

The bar / restaurant will be open by then, and while they haven't decided on whether or not to have an all inclusive option (which has made me a La Amistad fan) the venue is fantastic.
