Hey folks,

I'll be taking my winter getaway to POP and sosua/cabarete at those times. Haven't been there in oh...6-7 years now.

Last blood test showed a vitamin d deficiency (borderline severe) so i guess i'm there to take care of that...and whatever comes up.

What's the newest on what's been happening there? links/recommendations?

As always, fine with meet ups, tall tale swapping, beers and maybe other stuff.

I like to use VRBO and book a condo versus going to a hotel, but I did like Hotel Sosua Sunrise (fka) Casa Cayena, and The Palms Condos which is a little out of the area, but 3 mins by moto or 10 mins walking to Rhumba's. The scene has definitely changed from 6-7 years ago but for me I do not mind it. If you speak Spanish there is a wealth of opportunities outside of the red zone but if not there is still plenty to choose from.
