Ok, first trip.

I will, hopefully, be staying at La Amistad for the entire stay, for the all inclusive option.

I do plan on scheduling several tourist type events, I am not a complete horn dog.

But, I could use a guide for the Gulch, both at SL/HDR and the MP's around there.

Thanks!

Also, a number of threads in the newbie section are worth a bit of your time. You're paying to get on a plane, hotel, etc.

It's worth doing a little reading to help make your trip memorable, in a good way.

Good choice on Amistad for your first time. You will met a bunch of good people, staying there and working there. So you have step one done correctly. There is so much more to SJ than the normal gulch stuff...Find a guy like Pops and have him show you around for the FULL experience. As far as the non "horn dog" activities, so much to do so little time..day trips, san jose sites..tons and tons... Read the posts threads as well..lots of advice and experiences to learn from. You will have a blast your first trip...soak it all in...

one word of advice...make this trip your own. Its good to read the advice and posts but always remember your tastes and wants and needs are not the other guys. Make each trip yours...not another guys based upon what their thoughts and experiences have been. It should not matter to you if one guy doesn't like a certain hotel, or would never pay $100 for such and such girl..or hates the food at a restaurant...Throw that shit out the window and make Costa rica your bitch!!

I will be staying at La Amistad Sept. 16th thru the 19th. I have stayed there many times since they started the all inclusive plan. You will love it there.
