Frequent visitor to SJO before I found Medellin is thinking of a return to SJO. Life events have drastically reduced my ability to make frequent trips to Medellin, as getting a week + away is almost impossible. However, the 4+ day trips to SJO are possible with some regularity. I am; however, curious about the scene, now. I understand it may have lost some of its luster of a few years. But is there still enough action at the usual places to make it worth long weekends? Will be hard to replace Medellin for the quality, but I am fairly certain that a sufficient quality still exists for frequent long weekend trips in the coming year. Just looking for some validation. Reports are so hot or cold, on the various boards, that it is hard to tell what is truly going on sometimes. |

Lots or reads...No responses. Guess I will just have to figure it out for myself. |

I actually replied but the phucking board timed out and I did not feel like retyping everything that I had typed as it was late. It was one of the few times I did not copy the text before hitting the submit button. Since then I have been busy and forgot about this thread. |

Here is a shortened version of what I wrote: It depends on how you like to operate and your level of communicating. If you want to hit the massage parlors and like to shoot fish in a barrel then you will have plenty to choose from but you might think the talent pool has dwindled. For me I got away from the MP's but I would occasionally stick my head in and see if anything caught my eye. If you speak spanish and are not afraid to approach woman tactfully outside of the gulch you will find that it is a target rich enviroment. If you can dance salsa, cumbia, merengue, and bachata you have nothing to worry about. I did many solo trips and enjoyed venturing outside of the gulch frequently. I even got to the point where I would keep 2 hotel rooms, one in the gulch for the working girls and one outside of it so I could take the non working ladies that I would pick up outside of the gulch. Some of the areas I would frequent were the Malls, Clubs like Jazz Cafe and Castros, basically any woman that gave even the slightest hint of interest that I thought was attractive was talked to and I would either ask her out to go dancing or meet for lunch. Since I had taken spanish classes in San Jose I would usually tell them I was there going to school and let that open the door for me. |

Thanks for the feedback....Obviously not in the same league as you. Speak some espanol, but by no means conversational. Perhaps I should stick to MDE as the quality is ALWAYS there! Just need to figure out a way to find more than 4 days to go. 14 hours in travel both directions, with late arrivals on both ends, just kills me for a 4 day trip. However SJO can be done in about 8 with a noon arrival which makes day 1 seem like an extra day. I posted the same message to the VIP site because many know me and know what I like. |

When I first starting coming to San Jose, it seems like the Rey was always packed. Now it is hit and miss. Of course it can change from one hour to the next. That being said, it seems like the weekends are not like they use to be, with so many girls going to Jaco. The end of the month seems better with many girls who don't come out until they need to pay rent. |

I think if you are going to make frequent 4 day trips to CR by the second or third trip you should have been able to collect a list of girls you like and enjoy being with. After all there are many young available girls in CR and surely you can find a few you like. I do not understand the need to be somewhere where ALL the women are drop dead gorgeous. You just need to find a handful you like. |

I think you can get by without in SJO, and I do find myself being lazy with espanol when I am there....LOL |

I still find CR to be fun for a short trip. The local places I visit are about the same as they have always been. It is no where close to SE asia my prefered destination but it beats the hell out of Texas for a 4 day weekend. I just visited a couple of weeks ago and will be back the weekend after Easter. rbc100 |

Just wish I could package-up more days to go more frequently. A trip to PI is more than that to MDE, but if you can stay 8-10 days, the extra airfare is covered by low cost sessions. Thanks for the feedback.............. |

Man...going for my 3rd time this month since Sept....even over Xmas and new years, there was never a problem finding a cute spinner [my type] every day or night...some of the massage parlors have diamonds in the rough for cheap....I'm with you on the time crunch, I retire this Oct. and Thailand and Philipines are on the list for a longer trip...I say try San Jose! |
