Hey everyone.. I'll be down there tomorrow and heading to Jaco this Friday and Sat nights.. Any idea where the hell I should stay. Any thoughts- pointers? Definitely want chica friendly but it seems like everything is booked. Also don't want to stay somewhere that I feel I am gonna get my throat cut in the middle of the night by some whacked out ticos.. Any help would be appreciated. I have read the forum, and I know this is last minute as I'm a procrastinator, but just a plea for help. Pm me or Simmental below. Much appreciated.

Try the Mango Mar? Hotel Poseidon and Hotel 9 are close to Cocal and chica friendly.

Here is an old thread with some info... in this link(s).

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47701&p=545109&hilit=Jaco+hotels#p545109

And

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=48258

Contact OneLuckydog or Puravidatransport- either can help for sure!

I don't think it's as bad you think. Worst case scenario, there are always low budget rooms 1-3 blocks in from beach. I would just drive directly to Cocal hotel and ask some of the guys at the bar....

Thanks Cali.. 9 is booked same with Poseidon. Emailed mango mar twice, haven't heard back. I'm sure I can figure something out.. Say, for instance, I stay outside of Jaco somewhere, are there short stay places in Jaco I can bring a chica back with me? Or massage places like I'm SJ that have the rooms upstairs? Didn't really see that info anywhere.

Cadilac Rock is short time but bad reputation. Try the Copacabana and Morgan's Cove.

Thanks pops.. Morgan's has no room (at least on the website). If I don't set anything up before I leave SJ I'll just go straight to Mango Mar and go from there. I filled out their reservation form and put my credit card info down, I'm sure some tico is gonna run up my bill with electronics purchases but whatever. It'll be an adventure I guess.

Try calling Mango Mar. Usually someone in the office around 10 am after the breakfast rush. Probably not there after 7 pm. 506-2643-3670
If all else fails try Clarita's at the north end of the beach. Rooms are a little rustic but has a pool and fun beach bar.

Thanks Nick.. I saw they had rooms. I'm hesitant to stay at a lifestyle hotel just because I don't want to see 75 year old saggy tittays floating in the pool (no offense to the older members here). I've been to swinger joints and always get a bit grossed out with the older attendees. I will prolly stay there though, maybe it will be different than in the states. And who knows, maybe some dude will ask me to bang his hot wife in front of him!

I too was getting no response from the Mango Mar website. However, I went to booking.com (or was it hotels.com, I forget) and was able to book a room via there. Hope that helps, if not now then going forward.
