Hey all,

Been about 4 yrs since my last trip to the CR so i'm interested in seeing all that's changed (or not.)

I'll do the medical tourist thing and of course see the chicas. I'd probably do 5-6 days around the gulch and hoping to get a recommendation of which hotel i should try out. I've done the amistad thing but am a bit tired of the waking up to freight trains in the morning. Any other newer, nicer hotels? (since it's just me i don't need the big fancy suite with well-placed mirrors.)

Also, was thinking of hitting the pacifico. Have done jaco, ma/quepos. thinking of trying out some surfing lessons. Is tamarindo still the place to go for that?

What else is there worth exploring?

so is the travel from sjo to tamarindo tough? what would be the best options? i think flying with one of air carriers would be a bit much but wnat are the other realistic options?

i did a search through the crt dbase and it's pretty crude. no good results.

I always travel Sansa air and fly directly into Tamarindo airport. I have never done the drive so I cannot say what the roads or the trip would be like.
