I met Thomas a few times but don't know the current owner of CRT. Admin, if you'd like to contact me, shoot me a PM, I'd be happy to make your acquaintance.

In 2010, I think we had about 30 guys show up to Hooters @ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. There were some interesting characters from an amateur porn director to Cubadave. The gamblers gambled after the meetup. The local scene pros went off to find entertainment elsewhere. And the rest of us went home at the end of the day. It was pretty casual. No formal presentations or organization. Just a bunch of guys hanging out together eating wings, drinking beer, and swapping war stories. I was surprised that it wasn't a more structured event but I left that event having met 3 people to this day I consider friends and 2 whom I have traveled with outside the States. I remember meeting a few guys who drove 3-6 hours to attend. The Tampa contingent made an appearance. Those driving into town may have different expectations since they may need a hotel, a little action, etc.

To organize this, we need to figure out the best place, time and after event activities if any.

In 2010, we all just chipped in to buy a few hundred wings & a dozen pitchers of beer and just talked. No admission fee. No formal presentation. No official extracurricular events. This event can be similar or different depending on what you want. Everyone chipped in for the food and beer on the honor system. Thomas agreed to pay any shortfall which I believe wasn't an issue. For this event, I'm not covering any shortfall but don't really want to charge admission either. Restaurants & bar generally don't like doing 30 separate checks though.

After the Meetup, some hit the casino tables, others went out to the strip clubs, and many left for home. With a group of 30 guys of various ages, interests, and on various time schedules, it's challenging to organize anything structured without charging an advanced fee. Let's try to keep this event completely free. If $200 of food / drinks are purchased & there are 20 guys, everyone can just chip in $10 + tip before they leave. Groups of old & newly made friends will likely find other activities to do after the meetup.

Let's do this when the most people can attend. Please reply with your ideal...

1 - Date
2 - Location (Hooters, Hard Rock Casino, Funky Buddah, etc - somewhere in Broward or Miami-Dade)
3 - Additional Preferences (Hotels, Interstate Access, Local Entertainment, etc)

Admin is welcome to get involved & sanction this as an official CRT event. Would be great for everyone to meet him like we all met Thomas. Sanctioned or not, I'm willing to help make this a reality.

So do tell...what works for you? Answer #1 - #3 questions above and lets make this a reality this summer. It will be interesting to see if the scene has expanded or contracted since 2010. Think we can get 30+ guys to attend again? Or 50? Or only 10? Should be interesting...

Anyone interested in the July 4th weekend?

Ok, I'm getting PMs but the thread isn't gaining any traction.

What do you (yes YOU) think about July 4th weekend? Some guys may drive down from central Florida so this could potential mean a more expensive hotel than normal. But a lot of local guys from Palm Beach, Broward, & Miami-Dade will be off work.

Here are some venue options. It makes no difference to me.

- Hooters (Sports Bar) @ Seminole Hard Rock Casino
- Bru's Rooms (Sports Bar) @ Coconut Creek
- Funky Buddah (Micro Brewery with Food Trucks) @ Oakland Park
- Hooters (Sports Bar) @ Fort Lauderdale Beach

What works for you? Venue? Place? Dates?

Hey Max prob met you at Hooters at the last meet up. Yes we had some CRT legends there.... some even got a BJ in the parking lot Anyway a bunch of us have been doing Bru's at Coco Creek for informal meetups here and there... but Hooters is cool more central.

Great time last time with some legends Jamrock, Prolijo from Tampa, Circus came down from Jax, Mucho Gusto, Osgood, Nightworker, Calfornicationdude and the great Get Rhythm. and many more.

Yep, even CubaDave showed up, ChiliMike drove down, SoFlaGuy who is now in LA made an appearance. And he has hit the jackpot with his LA girlfriend if you're friends with him on Facebook, you know what I'm talking about. Admin 1 (T) was there. Great guy. I remember another guy Tropical something or another. Not Bill from SL but the other Tropical guy. I think Lennydo came down, haven't heard from him in a while. BigWaveDave was also there. There was a CRT member from Houston of Asian ethnicity that was fond of Brazil. Can't remember his name. Boynton made an appearance too. If you remember anyone else who was there, post their username, I'll PM all of them once we lock in on a date & location.

Let's tentatively plan on July 4th weekend at Hooters @ Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. Unfortunately that may eliminate Rolleratnight since he's considering an MDE trip that weekend, but we'll see. If anyone has a spare bedroom to house those who may drive a couple hours to attend, speak up or shoot me a PM.

I remember the Tampa contingent was asking me about the best strip clubs, etc. back in 2010. Funny that I still haven't been to a strip club in South Florida. I guess I get my kicks outside the country so I'm not a qualified person to show everyone around the local scene. But I'm sure others will know.

Subscribe to or Follow this thread. I figure if I don't push the matter, it'll never happen. So whether we have 10 guys or 50 guys show isn't a big deal. It's always nice to put names with faces.

Looks like you volunteered to honcho this. We had a little thing for netgems bday but It has been years since we had a big meetup.
If you set the time and place whoever shows up, well, shows up. Commitments may be tough. Hard rock is easy for most to find. July 4 is an active weekend. Thats good or the next weekend .

Ok. I'm back from 2 weeks to CR in the past 6 weeks.

Intend to recover for a few days then hit the CRT South Florida Meetup full steam. When I put my mind to something, it generally becomes a reality. Call it a personality flaw but I call in persistence.

I haven't contacted the venue options in question yet so it's not "official" but it will be in short order.

Let's start a list of who (given the date & location listed) plan on attending. If your plans change, please let me know. State your intent honestly please. Yes, Maybe, or No. I intend to modify the original post as we get a list of CRT members who commit to attending. There will be no admission fee but intend on spending $20 so we can provide you with plenty of wings & beer. I don't want to be the bad guy who has to collect money so just be cool & contribute at entrance so we don't have to make this a formal money gathering affair.

If revenue exceeds expenses, we'll use the remaining funds to see how many Hooters girls will show us their tits. If you want mixed drinks or meals, that's on you. Just plan on contributing $20 at entrance. If you are broke, no problem, just let me know privately in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate you. All ages, weights, and races are welcome.

And I'll try to get some of those legends to crawl out from their rocks & join the party. Much to learn from those guys.

I am originally from South Florida Broward/Dade area. Never been to CR still a noob. I live outside DC was thinking about making strip down to SoFla see friends family. This sounds great and I would like to show up and meet some of the legends.
