What a mad world the snow the traffic the conjestion in Chicago. The stuck up self involved woman (vomit). I am lacing up my boots and planning on invading the gulch. A newbie indeed, but also a veteran in the pack who mastered the art of getting laid on Match.com. I have so many ideas of what awaits but also being a sultan for a week is new to me! Last question...I get vitamin V here $25.00 a tab should I bring or leave be..I love the recreation and as for a shuttle from the airport any best practices! Hope to meet T-C-H and others during my trip. I just want to thank all of you for your posts it's priceless! My trip report will be historical I am sure:)

Save your Vitamins, Russ @ Mona Lisa has them super cheap. Taxi from airport, go upstairs once you have exited the inside part of airport. Best prices for taxi is upstairs in the departure area of airport. 20-25$ will get you into the gulch

I have no trouble finding a RED TAXI upstairs on the departure level during the daylight hours who will take me to the gulch for 8,000 (about $16) .

Russ (or his gift shop) at ML is a good, convenient source for the E.D. vitamins . The cheapest price is probably at Pharmacia del Parque on Calle Central very near Avenida 4, which is a short walk from the gulch.

WOW, Mancanard,

You are the lucky charm!!! Every time I read your posts, I luck up with tickets to the Bulls game. On my way to the UC now to check out da game right NOW... Forget the snow and traffic on Madison, I'm on da Green line.

Take the red taxi with the yellow triangle to the gulch from the airport. I saw Russ at the ML for vitamins once, no problems.

The CRT members are good. Last year I took the red Toyota taxis to and from the gulch & airport and it was $30 bucks. YMMV.

Have fun brother!!!

Peace.

Regarding 1Man's post about meds. I have an enormous supply of them here, but no prescription. I intended to just bring some in a couple weeks when I arrive. If found in my bags in the airport will they give me a hard time about it or ask for my prescription?

No they won't …as long as it is not in commercial amounts, but instead for obvious personal use. Otherwise, if it looks like you'll be peddling…you bet they might.
