First I want to thank you all for the information on this site it was a gold mine! My flight is booked I ended up going with Spirit, unfortunately, it was a solid $240 bucks cheaper than the second cheapest which was Delta, even after baggage fees and the like, so wish me luck.
I am staying at the SL. I like the idea of making friends in a relaxed atmosphere. I might do one day at Jaco Beach just to see the ocean (I live in a landlocked state, but couldn't bring myself to stay there the whole time, Cocal seemed too overwhelming for my tastes.
)You'll probably see me asking a few questions here and there before my trip. It's my first trip outside of the United States so I'll admit to being a bit nervous. My Spanish speaking skills are non-existent, but I can understand quite a bit. I'm working steadily to improve it before I get there.
Anyhow, I've got a solid amount of money budgeted out to buy you folks rounds or feed ya if you want to help a monger out. Otherwise I will see you around. Hopefully, I can contribute some solid trip reports!
