Hi Chillpill - SL is a good choice, you'll have a good time and it's close enough to walk to all the popular venues. I did my first trip last year solo and managed to have a pretty good time

Thanks to this board, I have decided to make my first trip to CR next month... I had absolutely no idea that the scene in CR was this awesome, and this board has given me a ton of info... I have been to Thailand a couple times and other parts of Asia but having a good destination as CR relatively close (I am from Seattle) is awesome!! I am planning on staying at the SL for the week and maybe go for a couple days to some beach close by... Still need to figure out my plan coz I only made the decision to go to CR last night!! If any of you are going to be in CR during this time let me know. I will be flying on my own (my friends cant make it) so looking to make friends in CR and have a great time!! Thank you |

Say Chil sounds like my itinerary exactly! Flying in from Texas 4/27-5/3 staying at SL and i too have been in Thailand, infact I was in Pattaya last October. Want to have a beer hit me up. |

Unchanged Texan that is freakin awesome!! So I am flying in from seattle and have actually booked my trip from the 26th to the 3rd. Took an extra day off from work to spend Friday night in CR  Also I changed my trip a little bit so I'll be staying the first four nights in Jaco and the next four nights in SJO... I wanted to experience the beach and the Jaco scene as well... Planning to stay at the Cocal... I get back to SJO on the 29th and want to stay at the SL but they only have the courtyard regular room available during that time so debating whether to take it or not... Regardless of everything else we should totally hit up for a beer! Let's coordinate! |
