Hey guys....I just moved to Puriscal after having read and participated here for a couple of years. (I'm still a serious noob) Anyhow, I tried once on short notice to meet up with some of the crowd, and while in San Jose (At the Coca Cola), I couldn't find a single cabbie who knew where the HLH or SL were...I was on limited time and small budget, but wanted to get a taste, or to at LEAST stand in a target rich environment, however brief that moment may have been.

I'm looking for my next opportunity, but would like to know how to make some contacts and meet some of the guys and at LEAST smell a beautiful Chica once or twice......LOL

Any advice on how to get in touch with one of the guys on the ground, on short notice, who can show me the ropes or give me some pointers on a good excuse to escape home and spend some time in town?

I'd like to see if a 52 year-old guy can still do more than run out to the end of my chain and BARK! LOL

Gracias amigos!

I'm around the corner from the SL, happy to answer any questions if I'm around. As for taxis, use INS building or Cafe Mundo as points of reference. More will know INS and it is just a couple of blocks.

Thanks! I need to get my VIP membership soon....and when I can get to town, I'll let you know......What are the prospects for a little-bit older guy to have a good time, and snag a 8 or 9?

....Just curious....I guess my confidence level is waning after a whole lifetime of American women's attitudes and prudish nature......

Seen a lot of cuties around the SL these days, don't think you'll have any problems with them.

For HLH write down Barrio Amon, frente edificio Invu, Avenidia 9. I will be happy to introduce you around. also telephone is 2257-8624 The cabbies have phones and can call reception. From Coca Cola about $2

For Sportsmens try 200 meters oeste Hospital Calderon Guardia.

Plenty of CRT guys in both places

Thanks BK...I've read a lot of your posts over the last couple of years and would be HONORED if you showed me around! I'll give you a yell when I can break free....I'm HOPING to pick up a vehicle today and SOLVE my transportation challenges in one go!

Is there good/secure parking to be had if I drive in?

I'm going to plan a trip as soon as I can!

probably 10 parking lots (for a fee) within 2 blocks. one is almost across the street, but it closes around 7 or so. you won't have a problem parking. just drive around the HLH block and you'll find one.

Yo, Vette,

I have many months in country. I have taken buses in and out of the Coca-Cola bus station many times. I strongly recommend that you NEVER take a taxi from that bus station. Many of the drivers have deals with certain hotels and will never admit to knowing where any other hotel is. If you walk one block, north, south, east or west, and flag down any taxi they will probably take you straight to the HLH.

I was in Puriscal once, by accident, took the wrong bus. Very pretty country. Please share more info about Puriscal, why you settled there, what you like/dislike about the area, etc.
