To all the CRT brothers,

I was going back and forth this week about paying the crazy airfare for San Jose until I was blindsided by a friend telling me he had the big "C". I thanked him for waking me up and being the tipping point for booking my trip. So without further ado, I shall be returning to the country that stole my heart and the adult Di$neyl@nd that is HLH for May 26 to June 3.

I have been to San Jose many times and really enjoy how professional and fun HLH is now that Boyd and Greg have taken the reins. Hope to meet some new CRT bros at the daily happy hour and definitely want to do an MP walking tour on a couple of days if anyone is interested in joining.

Shoutouts to brothers Crazyhorse and Aquaman! If either of you are visiting that week post a reply or send me a PM.

Pura vida!

If the 'BIG C" was the tipping point, it might be Cialis.

If anybody's interested, Boyd usually has a supply of vitamins for us.

Big C usually refers to cancer, Godspeed to your friend Allister1369.

Thanks Pacoloco. The big "C" is cancer which totally sucks. Whenever I hear of someone I know getting diagnosed with it, I say "F... it!" and book a trip to Costa Rica. You can't take it with you so you might as well enjoy the time you have. Work hard and play harder.

Kb9ora, the HLH and Sportsmen's are both great venues that offer different vibes. If you like having a place that's got the girls ready and waiting, then HLH is the place to stay. The happy hours are fantastic for meeting and hanging out with other CRT bros. Boyd and Greg are fantastic hosts who really do all they can to accomodate their guests.

The Sportsmen's has some great indie contractors roaming day and night and Bill is really a cool owner who takes care of his guests. I will be heading there after my check in at HLH so I can watch the UFC 145 (All heavy weights on the card with the championship to finish it off).

If you want to meet at the Sportsmen's then PM me as your trip draws closer.

Pura vida!

Don't pray much anymore except for my K*ds and the johnson to
keep working till I die of old age at 103. But mine are with your friend.
I did a couple a rounds with it in 2008. The stuff is just sneaky. You just got to keep
your head on straight. Yea the pain sucks but you get thru it.

Relied on some of the tricks I learned in the service. Spent a year at Wright
Patterson AFB putting me back together. Still no sight in left eye and I won't
be running marathons ever again. But keeping a leg with bullet holes is better
than none at all. (Sorry for the long wind.) You take each moment as it comes
living in that moment. Find your place where it is peaceful. I had a few to go to.
A hill up in the orchard back home, my john boat fishing for salmon but most of
all the greatest breasts on nurse Captain Debbie Fell--ws. It is amazing what a good
set of breasts can do for a guy.

All that just to let you know you only have now. No promise of tomorrow so get living it.
On your death bead you won't be saying I should saved that $2,500 buck. (My usual trip cost.)
You will be remembering your Chicas with all those breasts.

Obi Wan, your wise words are truly Jedi-esque and my buddy appreciates the prayers.

My perspective on the matter is that my buddy has loving wife and plenty of K*ds that are pretty much fully grown and self sufficient. He is from the Midwest so he was raised with the beliefs of family first and supporting your community (aka church). I have nothing bad to say about either and if that's where his happiness lies then good for him.

I, on the other hand, grew up in California and learned early on in my career that a divorce can be as debilitating, personally and professionally, as a major injury. I saw two guys I respect and admire go through it, and it totally soured me on the institution of marriage before I even hit 25. I am lucky enough to have a good career and be financially stable on my own. I do what my financial advisors tell me and don't sweat the small stuff anymore. I live a simple life of balance and moderation when at home, but I party like a f%&kin' rockstar when I'm on vacation.

Appreciate the kind thoughts brothers,

Allister1369

Koolaidkid, hope to see you and your buddies at HLH on Saturday for Happy Hour when you arrive. I am going to take it easy that night since I fly back at 7AM on Sunday, but I'll buy a few beers and exchange a few tales.

Allister, I have made the decision to be bold and have made a reservation at HLH for my dates and will be staying with Boyd and crew.

My original reservation was at SL where I've stayed on my first two trips.

Kb9ora,

Glad to hear of your change in hotel venue and I can guarantee that you will not regret it. The cost savings on "room service" with a CRT membership can pay for your stay alone. The Happy Hours are also friggin' fun and the cigar room is great for a relaxin break from the madness. If you are there on Sat (May 26) and are interested in watching the UFC, meet me at Happy Hour (HLH) and we'll hit SL at 7pm to get decent seats.

Pura vida!

Hey Allister- Fished on Thur the 29th-2 good sized congrio, 4 red snapper and a "conejo" rabbit fish- he was the sushi with wasabi-did a 1/2 day offshore for marlin, dorado and sails but we didn't even get 1 strike-spent the rest of the day inshore bottom fishing in several spots-SL was sloooow Fri and the HLH Dance Contest was excellent-tried to session w/Melina but she basically blew me off-lots of new girls (spinners) at HLH and Greg and Boyd their usual great hosts. Won't be able to make your dates as I am here now. Hope to see you in the future and fish with you again.

Aquaman, good to hear from you and I'm glad you had luck fishing on your recent trip. I plan on vacationing in Costa Rica three times this year so I'll post some more roll calls after this first trip.

Pura vida!
