1) how is the action at SL and HDR....any other suggestions 2) during the day, would like to visit art galleries and museums...any suggestions 3) is there a different reaction to a "chino gringo" to a "regular gringo". I know there is a small chino population in SJ but some cultures have different reactions to certain ethnic groups. Once again thank you for your reply. cheers, Attila |

It is in the Plaza de Cultura, which is where the National Theater is. It shows a history of CR including the money, art and such. I am sure others can help out with any other suggestions. 3) Being an Asian-Gringo it took me a while to get used to being called chino or chinito, BUT it is not an insult. Down here if you look a little asian, even f you are not, even just your eyes the call you chino. Like stated above, if you are looking for working girls, they mostly only see green. Although chatting them up a little helps. I am always around the SL. Let me know if ya need any more info. the DR <-----OG'n it since I was real young........ ![]() |

First week of April is not a great time to be in San Jose this year. It is Semana Santa and a lot of places including museums and art galleries might be closed. It is still an unknown about the sale of liquor on April 5 & 6 (Holy Thursday/Good Friday). The Ley de Seca is no longer mandatory but the municipalities have the option of allowing sales or going dry. I have not heard which way San Jose is leaning. |
